Noise and dust

Report from Wave-Gotik-Treffen 2017 in Leipzig, Germany.

We descent into the deepest core of the dusk. We took part in the World’s greatest meeting dedicated to electro and gothic subcultures.
Among all the +260 music events and 100 venues all around the city of Leipzig, we chose all the places where the noise was almost tangible, to let you actually feel the dust lifted by the beat, impressed permanently on our analogic takes. Many of you followed the live stories on our Instagram during the festival, while here you can find our insight to Wave-Gotik-Treffen 2017, including highlights from Skinny Puppy, Ah-Cama Sotz, Suicide Commando and, of course, the amazing black crowd that we met under the stages. One 35mm roll per day, absence of light, industrial soundtrack all over. Photography and report by Marco Giuliano and Anca Macavei.

Next edition of Wave-Gotik-Treffen will take place from 18th to 21th of May 2018, in Leipzig, and we can’t already wait for it. Stay tuned in the next months for the first confirmations on their page.

Sometimes words can drive into a submerged Sistine Chapel: the light reflections under the water reveal an unseen facet of the Judgement with a more vivid and altered perspective. David Tibet leads us to the other shore. An interview by Marco Giuliano.
