Road to Wave-Gotik-Treffen 2025

Leipzig, Germany – 6/9 June 2025.

The 32nd edition of Wave Gotik Treffen is upon us, standing as a testament to the enduring legacy of one of the longest-running alternative festivals in the world. Few others can claim such an impressive history, and WGT remains unparalleled in its ability to evolve while staying true to its dark, creative roots. This is more than just a festival—it’s a movement, a beacon of alternative culture that has withstood the test of time for over three decades.

From the cobblestone streets of Leipzig to the hallowed halls and shadowed stages, the festival once again unites thousands of souls drawn by a shared love of music, art, fashion, and the macabre. It is a pilgrimage for goths, punks, metalheads, and avant-garde visionaries from across the globe, immersing themselves in a realm where the boundaries of genre and imagination dissolve.
Every year about 20.000 people from all over the World re-unite for the most important music festival dedicated to goth, industrial and post-punk sub-cultures. The city of Richard Wagner turns black for almost a week, to host hundreds of concerts/events in more than 50 venues.

Prepare for a feast of sounds ranging from ethereal wave to industrial beats, symphonic metal to neo-folk, set against the midnight allure of Leipzig’s historic charm. Few events can rival the depth, history, and spirit of Wave Gotik Treffen—truly a celebration of the extraordinary.

This year WGT dates are from the 6th to the 9th of June and many big names have already been unveiled: The 69 Eyes, London after midnight, New model army, And also the trees, Drab majesty, Deceits, Combichrist are just few of our favorites but many other will come in the next weeks. We will be there to give you our live impressions from the festival; can’t wait to celebrate with you all this big event!
