Did you approach the creative process with a clear narrative in mind, or did the concept reveal itself through the music?
My process is an act of exploration – an ongoing dialogue between myself and the machines. Together, we co-mould sound, feeling our way through uncharted terrain. At times, it feels like turning over stones in a forgotten landscape, uncovering hidden textures and fragments of emotion. I follow the thread, layer by layer, until I stumble upon something intricate enough to fall into. I’m endlessly grateful to work with such beautifully crafted instruments – technologies born from the minds of brilliant inventors. Their creations breathe life into my own, and that exchange is one of my deepest sources of inspiration. Vocals, though, emerge from a different well – one steeped in meaning, memory, and the unspoken. They carry the weight of thought and the vulnerability of being seen.
Your productions often feel deeply immersive, like they exist in their own universe. Were there any non-musical influences such as books, films, art, that fed into this EP?
I believe that the best art is always captured and encapsulated through this wildly psychedelic trip we call consciousness. So I try to reach deep into the core of the things that hold the most meaning and fascination for me – to uncover the most expressive and rewarding voice I can find. All forms of art I’ve encountered throughout my life – not just music – have become deeply intertwined with my identity and my journey of exploration through creation.
If a listener could take away just one feeling or message from this project, what would you want it to be?
One of the most fascinating things about art, to me, is its ability to invite deeply personal and immersive interpretation. We each bring our own history, emotion, and perception into the experience, and somehow, through someone else’s creation, we find a reflection of ourselves. Music, especially, holds a unique power in this realm -an invisible force that governs and connects so many of us on a level that is raw, intimate, and often beyond words.
It’s this mysterious, emotional resonance that keeps me creating. My greatest hope is that someone, somewhere, finds a piece of themselves within the sounds – that it sparks something visceral, something that feeds their thirst for life, passion, or release. That kind of connection is sacred. And truly, beyond that, I could never ask for more.
The release drops on your Noetic imprint, that so far has seen releases from yourself and remixes from Etapp Kyle, Redshape, Truncate and more. What do you aim to achieve with the label, is it currently fulfilling what you wanted it to?
Spearheading my own imprint has been a lifelong dream – one that has evolved into a beautifully visceral experience of expression and collaboration with artists I admire and am lucky to call friends. It’s a gift to have a space – a vehicle – for my music to live, grow, and connect. Looking ahead, I hope to continue expanding the label, opening the doors to more collaborations with like-minded artists who share a passion for pushing boundaries and telling honest stories through sound.
Do you have any plans to develop the brand? You’ve started doing Noetic showcases as well right? Will you be doing some of those in Europe?
That’s absolutely in the works. I have a deep aspiration to evolve the label series into a dynamic, ever-growing ecosystem – one that not only showcases forward-thinking music but also cultivates a community of artists, collaborators, and listeners who are passionate about exploration and authenticity. My vision is to build something that transcends the traditional label model – an ongoing experience that inspires, connects, and challenges both creators and audiences alike. There are so many ways to contribute to the greater rave experience, and I’m excited to push for innovation and inclusivity on every level – from curation and sound design to visual storytelling and the spaces we create together. This is about building something that feels alive, meaningful, and open to everyone who wants to be part of it.
