Kaguya, Retold

Photographed by Elif Gunduz.

In a fusion of timeless legend and contemporary aesthetics, the story reimagines the classic narrative of Princess Kaguya, the ethereal maiden from the moon. The tale explores the juxtaposition of her otherworldly origins with the mundane reality of earth, creating a poignant commentary on identity and belonging. Conceptualised by Elif Gündüz and Naomi Gugler.
