We had a blast trying the brand new FORTE A4 MK2 active speakers, a powerful yet compact stereo sound system, able to reproduce with extreme fidelity the vast range of music with which we put them to test. From high-pitched hard rock and metal, to bass-rich deep techno, to classical music, everything sounds perfectly balanced at any volume, with no overpowering frequencies and, most importantly, without any additional knob-turning or adjustment: a real plug-n-play delight.
In the past, good sound quality often required large, clunky boxes that had to be connected to a heavy stereo amplifier. Today there are many alternatives available in the form of smart all-in-one, mono, Bluetooth speakers. But really, the sound experience is not even close to the same with these small plastic boxes. To get the full music and sound experience you still need a proper stereo set as that creates a more immersive listening experience. In stereo sound, audio is recorded and played back using two separate channels, which can be reproduced through separate speakers. This creates the illusion of sound coming from different directions, which can give the listener a sense of being surrounded by the music. In the active speaker from Argon Audio, you get all the smart plug-and-play qualities of the small all-in-one Bluetooth speaker, but at the same time the sound quality you know from classic stereo systems. Maybe even better.
Amplifiers today are getting smaller and smaller and increasingly efficient at the same time. In Argon Audio active speakers, the amplifier has been matched perfectly to the speakers from the get-go by our capable engineers, meaning all you must do is lean back, turn up the volume, and enjoy the music. At the same time, you are getting a simpler system that takes up less space in your home and is much easier to set up. Simply connect the active speaker to power, connect to your HDMI device, or play music from your phone via Bluetooth (we think this is by far the easiest way to connect your device and the quality of Bluetooth today is as good as most wireless connections).
Argon Audio is standing on the shoulders of giants. They are born out of Danish sound connoisseurs HiFi Klubben, who since 1983 has been a keen missionary of the good sound almighty. And that’s a hard-earned heritage. This is the very essence of Argon Audio – and that’s why we dare to say that Argon Audio will satisfy your eyes, your ears, and your music-loving soul, without compromising your wallet. And that’s a promise.
Rock on.
