Innellea has become one of the defining names in the new wave of melodic techno. Emerging from Munich and quickly making his mark on labels like Afterlife, Diynamic, and Innervisions, he built a sound that is both cinematic and deeply human. His sets move between euphoria and fragility, carrying the kind of emotion that lingers long after the last track fades. Now, Innellea is in a new chapter. His project Finding Home gathers artists he respects into a shared vision, capturing the idea of home not as a physical place but as a state of feeling. Alongside it, his label belonging hands creative control to his community, inviting fans to shape the music’s visual and narrative world.

Finding Home gathers artists you deeply respect into one collective vision. What does home feel like to you when no one else is watching, and how did that feeling shape the sound and emotion of this compilation?

Home is not a place, it is a feeling. For me it is safety, calm, and the freedom to just be. That is what we tried to capture with Finding Home, a space where everyone can arrive together.

You’ve said you cry easily when beauty moves you and built belonging from honesty and vulnerability. How do you carry that fragility onto the stage and into the studio without it breaking you, especially in a world that thrives on intensity and ego?

Fragility is strength. The community protects it. When I share my vulnerability it becomes ours, not just mine, and that is what makes it powerful.

Childhood carries memory, innocence, and a quiet ache. When you created this track with Goom Gum, what exact moments from your early life surfaced in the studio. Which ghosts stepped forward to guide the music?

It was the small innocent moments. Running outside, family laughter, the first times music moved me. Those memories remind me, and hopefully everyone listening, to keep a sense of purity in the middle of the rave.

Your new label, belonging, hands power to the people. Fans decide on artwork, singles, and direction. You let them build the architecture around your vision. What does it do to you as an artist to surrender control, and how does it change your own relationship to the music when it no longer belongs to you alone?

It feels right to give that control away. Music becomes alive when it belongs to the community. Seeing the tracks grow through their choices makes me connect even deeper with them.

Memories sneak into your tracks whether you want them to or not. Which memory keeps returning to your music, shaping it, and what do you think it wants you to remember about yourself?

The memory of the early days, friends in small rooms, no pressure, just music. It reminds me, and hopefully everyone around me, why we started, to share something real together.

Finding Home is about searching and chasing belonging. After this album, do you still feel like you are searching, or are you ready to start building a space that others can step into and truly belong with you?

The search will never end, but now it is no longer only mine. With the community we are already building that space together. Belonging is not my home, it is our home.
