Plisskën Festival 2022

Greece’s leading festival held on June 12-13 in Athens

Plisskën, one of Greece’s leading festival returned this year on June 12-13 for a two-day takeover of Athens with world iconic headliners and up-and-coming talent across four stages of genre-defying music.

Plisskën festival made a daring return. One of Greece’s must-do music festivals involving some of the world’s most iconic artists is back and here to stay. Despite the ongoing fluctuations of Greece’s social-economic environment and after three full years of the Covid pandemic, Plisskën Festival managed to successfully sustain itself, while exponentially increasing its line-up and constantly raising the bar of expectations.

This year on the 12 and 13 of June, 44 iconic headliners and up-and-coming talents performed on four different stages. Plisskën took place in an industrial area and major cultural venue/Technopolis in the heart of Athens, Greece. International visitors, warm atmosphere, felt-like home vibes, and smiley faces made a blissful setting.

The line-up was stacked with world-class DJs, featuring trip-hop sounds and atmospheric jazz experimentations from electronic innovator Bonobo, interactive performance by the Canadian composer/ musician Caribou, and transcendent boisterous energy from Sama Abdulhadi.

The production was satisfying, with no unexpected punches pulled on the impressive lighting. However, some sound weaknesses related to the vocal tunes deprived the epitome of perfection to the audience.

Thank you Plisskën! Now all the eyes focus on the next year’s gathering edition. See u soon.
