Last time we enjoyed M’era Luna was 2019. This Summer, after the two infamous years of pandemic, we had the chance to be united again at the darkest European festival.
The expectations for this big event were really high and everything looked even more amazing under the beautiful Sun that graced Hildesheim once again. A brand new location set-up with the outdoor “Club” stage (usually the main stage was outdoor while the hangar stage was indoor) allowed to enjoy the perfect Summer atmosphere at its fullest, especially at sunset.
Each band really gave its best energy with highest peaks in the performances of: The Sisters of Mercy -with a very “rock”, guitar-driven sound and a wide setlist that included all their masterpieces-, Faderhead and Front Line Assembly -who really set the Club stage on fire- and last but not least the German crowd-gathering stars ASP, Blutengel and Eisbrecher. Also worth mentioning the Saturday after-show party at Disco Hangar with a super energetic music selection by DJane Thenia AF and DJ Marc Urban.
Our yearly visual report this time is dedicated to the deep spirit of communion that we finally had the chance to feel again and to the beautiful crowd that attended the festival. We will post the pictures on our Social media profiles as well, get in touch if you want to be mentioned/tagged in your picture!
We already have some interesting news with Project Pitchfork, The 69 Eyes, Solar Fake and Gothminister confirmed for the next year’s edition. So stay tuned for all the bands to come and see you all at M’era Luna 2023.
Next edition: 12-13 August 2023 / Hildesheim, Germany.
