The UK’s Ebbb, combining influences from Brian Wilson to Death Grips, appears just a year after their Ninja Tune debut. South London grime artist Jawnino performs following his debut on New York’s True Panther Sounds, while FRANKIE merges classical melodies with digital modulation. Additional names include Detroit’s Snow Strippers, delivering a unique take on EDM following a collaboration with Lil Uzi Vert; Gabber Eleganza with post-rave aesthetics and recent collaborations with Alexander McQueen, Mark Leckey, and Ewen Spencer; and DJ/writer Crystallmess, offering an eclectic mix of club beats and art.
Guatemalan avant-garde cellist Mabe Fratti debuts her latest album after performances at Unsound and receiving acclaim from The Guardian, Pitchfork, and The Wire. Chicago’s conscious rap duo Angry Blackmen showcase their debut album, while Cairo’s Nadah El Shazly presents her recent collaboration with Alvin Brandhi on Danse Noire, having earned praise from Le Guess Who? and The Wire. Other artists include Florence Sinclair, exploring everything from new wave to vaporwave after an experimental collaboration with Klein; Anastasia Coope from New York’s Hudson Valley with her spectral folk, following her debut on Jagjaguwar and collaborations with Animal Collective; and Alex Wilcox, performing a hybrid set with live vocals after releases on BNR TRAX, as well as labels associated with Nina Kraviz, Ellen Allien, and Anetha.
The lineup also features Nordic Music Prize winner Clarissa Connelly, known for her Celtic-inspired sounds following a Warp debut; UK’s Still House Plants with their stripped-down slow-core praised by Pitchfork; and Seoul’s Hypnosis Therapy, premiering an upcoming album with remixes by K-pop producers FRNK (NewJeans) and Malib (Woo Won Jae) after their recent SXSW performance.
