Visual Pleasures

Photographed by Ania Zalaszewska

Inspired by the photographer’s experience working at a strip club as a dancer. The project explores the act of constructing an illusion of identity, which unfolds on stage. For those few minutes, the audience projects their own fantasies onto the dancer, yet she maintains ultimate control over her image. Shot using the wet plate collodion technique by Ania Zalaszewska.
