“My process of making this project began with an exploration of different mental stages that I went through in the past few years. I hustled over moving places and constantly jumping into new environments. I sourced various types of leathers from warehouses that each perform differently and individually speak to me as a symphony to a different state of mind. To change their materiality, I drew all these organic, asymmetrical and abstract shapes that reflected my feeling and cut them out on leathers
I took inspiration from the shapes of small things, witnessed and nurtured my mind journey over the time. Regarding the self-expression and reflection nature of this collection, I worked around some of the pieces during production to collaborate with the film Convergence, which embrace similar transformative ideas. For this photoshoot, we brought it back to an abandoned factory near Rockaway beach where the film began, which was also where my mind journey ended when I finished the making part of this project.
