Jetlag Queen Premiere / Slim Soledad

First listen before the official release on December 5th on Headroom Records.

Born in Brazil and tempered by the underground dance floors of São Paulo, Slim Soledad moves between worlds as a trans woman, dancer, DJ, and cultural vector. She channels the raw energy of Latin club life into a potent mix of techno, baile funk, and experimental club textures. Now based in Milan, her work thrives in the tension of in betweenness, the constant pull of never fully belonging anywhere. Jetlag Queen, her forthcoming single on Headroom Records, premieres here on NASTY before its official release on December 5th — disoriented, precise, and alive.

Jetlag Queen captures the delirium of constant motion with unnerving precision. Co-produced with BADSISTA, the track unfolds through feverish percussion, distorted low-end and a rhythm architecture that drifts from baile funk friction into a colder, industrial squeeze. Its progression mimics the inner weather of travel: the sharp vigilance of early calls, the anonymous geometry of hotel rooms, the late-night adrenaline that refuses to dissolve. Slim bends exhaustion into material, carving focus out of disorientation.

Her sound is inseparable from a body trained to move. Years spent inside choreography: vogue floors, contemporary practice, and and countless nights on club floors, shape the way she builds intensity and release. Jetlag Queen behaves almost like a physical score. It contracts and expands, it twists and holds, as if written not only for listening but for inhabiting. Slim Soledad treats rhythm as a body in motion, allowing her music to speak through weight, speed and tension rather than narrative.
